This type of sandwich panel uses a polyurethane (PU) edge seal to protect the rockwool insulation and create a weather-tight barrier between the panel and the building structure. The two steel outer skins are coated with a colour finish; the rockwool insulator has a high density; and the four outer edges of the panel are sealed using a continuous PU foam material.
